Pikeville 27 Harlan Ind. 7 -ends a nice little surprising playoff run by the Green Dragons.

LCC 13 Mercer Co. 12 -Whitley Co. up next for LCC.

Bell Co. 49 Rockcastle Co. 7 -score was 14-0 at halftime, RC scores early in the 2nd half to cut it to 14-7 but that didn't last long as Bell woke up and the rout was on from there. Bell will face Knox Central in the quarters (KC and Bell met earlier in the season with Bell winning 21-0).

Breathitt Co. 62 Harlan County 34 -HC was actually up 28-27 at halftime and lead late in the 3rd qt, 34-33. Fugate had around 370 yards rushing and 5 TD's for BC. BC won this one 47-7 in the reg. season.

Breathitt would play Estill Co. next week. Another rematch for Breathitt, which they won in the regular season. Kentucky's HS playoffs has an extra round, as compared to Virginia's. Looked at the playoff tree for Breathitt's division...too many teams to count. Friend of mine at work says they may be heading for a showdown with Belfry, the usual powerhouse in Eastern KY.
